Coffee Breaks are widely used in the business environment..
Coffee breaks originated in 1800s in Stoungton among the emigrants from Norway when the wives were preparing coffee for their husband to give them a chance to have a rest during the hard work. Currently there is a Stoungton Coffee Break Festival which takes place annually. However the term Coffee Break became popular because of the advertisement of the Pan American Coffee Bureau which announced “Give Yourself a Coffee Break and Get What Coffee Gives to You”.
Usually Coffee Breaks last from 10 – to 20 minutes. Coffee breaks are organized during conferences, workshops, training sessions and business meetings when people busy with hard mental activity get a chance to break, to refresh themselves and concentrate on continuation of their activity.
